We took a walk this afternoon along the Tomebamba River on our way through the central city to the Panama Hat Museum (Museo Del Sombrero) and factory. Along the way, we provided an interview for a couple of university students who must have been on assignment from their English class. They approached us and asked if we would mind being interviewed. Our interviewer, Keven, quizzed us from a list of prepared questions. We struggled to understand at times, but his English was good enough for us to comprehend. We spent about 15 minutes chatting. I do wish I had learned to speak another language at that age. (By the way, I ordered a hat, which is being made today and which I will pick up tomorrow. More on that later.)

Can’t wait to see you in your net hat. I may need one.
